Auto Review

I travelled from Ahmedabad Airport to Paladi bus stand on a auto at around 9:00 P.M. The auto driver told me to run by meter and I agreed as it is the farest way to travel I perceived. Upon arrival at Paladi he brought out a chart where points were written and then he showed another chart where corresponding fare of the points travelled as per the meter are written. Confused as how does this type of metering prevailing in the city I could not help and paid a whopping Rs.242.00 as fare. The points in the meter showed around 542. Later I consulted as to what should have been the actual fare and I was told anywhere between Rs. 80-100. God knows if anyone has a say.

My native is Coimbatore I am surprised seeing autofare here. Because no automan ride their auto for the fare mention in this site. According to me Coimbatore is the costlier city for auto's than taxi in India. Because minimum auto fare for less than two kilometer is Rs.60 in Coimbatore then think about for more than 2 Kilometers. I visited capital cities namely chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and hyderabad but no one charged more than 20 rupees for less than 2kilometer.. but.. in my native place Coimbatore is.... costly for autos. If we ask to reduce the rate they question us about the price of diesel and petrol...

the autos in delhi will never go by meter. they are usually not ready to go to the asked destination. being a girl, and after so many incidences we want strict action(e.g. permit cancellation) for the auto walas. please its a request, on daily basis we face this.

The auto fares and the route from the starting point to the destination is totally wrong. If people start following this website, they are gonna end up travelling a longer route and paying more money to the auto wala's. I usually travel in auto from home to office. The meter reading (if the auto wala agrees to go with the meter) vary's between 80-85, whereas this website suggests me to pay the auto wala 110 for the same. Please recheck your routes. We want the auto fares for the shortest routes possible, rather than paying more money and travelling a longer route and wasting time and money!

Hello Concerned, as such bus fares was doubled in chennai, we also have share auto fare price unreasonably high? share auto charging 15 rupess for 3 stoppings??????? why dont some one decide std auto fares per km..... we citizens shd suffer for rent, taxes, increase petrol price, increase milk price, bus fare , eb bill...but our salary wont hike.... No one will love to settle in chennai/ india in the future...dont suffer the citizens...will any one look into this? whom shd i complaint this??? Regards cititzen of india
