Who we are?

A unique service that calculates your taxi fare and auto fares; before you start your travel! TaxiAutoFare.com helps riders and drivers understand expected travel costs before a trip. We launched on October 1, 2010 with auto-rickshaw fares for just eight Indian cities. Fifteen years on, we cover taxi fares, auto fares, metro fares, bus fares, and airport transfer fares for 1,542 cities across 103 countries — starting from India and now serving a global audience. We list a total of 3,958 fares - 2,647 Taxi and Auto Fares, 1,119 Bus Fares and 192 Metro Fares; covering both public (government-regulated) and private (company-operated) services wherever reliable tariff information is available.

What we do (beyond fare charts)?

We publish fare charts and provide interactive fare calculators that combine route distance, expected travel time, night or peak multipliers, waiting charges, surcharges, and local meter rules. Our calculators are designed to set clear cost expectations before you ride, so you can compare options and plan better.

How we build and verify fare estimates?

We compile official tariff notifications and circulars issued by transport departments and local authorities whenever they are publicly available.
Where official documents are not easily accessible, we review operator association notices, reputable news reports, and on-ground submissions from users. We treat user submissions as leads and verify them against multiple sources before updates go live.
Distance and time components are calculated using mapping data and standard meter rules for the location, including base fare, per-kilometre slabs, night or peak multipliers, and waiting charges where applicable.
We document the date and source behind each significant fare update. When an authority publishes a new notification, we prioritise updating those locations.
